Celebrating Sue George: Our 2024 Lynchburg, VA Caregiver of the Year!

We are again delighted to announce our 2024 Lynchburg, VA of the Year: Sue George!

Today our Karis Care Services team came together at the Heritage Green Assisted Living Community in Lynchburg, VA to recognize Sue George for the tremendous home care she has provided to our clients!

I am writing to offer my strongest recommendation for Sue George, who has been providing exceptional care for my 94-year-old father, Walter, over the past 2 years. Her dedication, compassion, and professionalism have made a tremendous difference in his quality of life.

Sue handles every aspect of my father's daily care with remarkable efficiency and attention to detail. She not only assists him with personal care but also takes on additional responsibilities that go above and beyond the typical duties of a caregiver. She ensures that my father is always well-dressed, taking the time to buy his clothing and ensures that he is comfortable and presentable.

In addition, Sue has meticulously scheduled and coordinates all of my father's medical appointments, keeping his health at the forefront of her concerns. She is proactive in communicating with healthcare providers, ensuring that my father receives the best possible care. She manages my father's schedule with a level of competence that gives me great peace of mind.

Moreover, Sue prepares nutritious and delicious meals for my father, taking into account his dietary preferences and needs. Many of the caregivers just purchase fast food or do a minimal meal prep. Sue will do nutritious home-cooked meals that are reminiscent of his wife. Things like meatloaf and roast.

Overall, Sue is a compassionate, reliable, and highly skilled caregiver. She has become an invaluable part of our family.
